Lost World Of Tambun is an adventure-packed destination that offers an ideal setting for team building. In this blog post, we will explore the benefits of team building at Lost World Of Tambun and provide a detailed itinerary for a 2-day 1-night experience. Let’s check out how you can enhance communication, increase collaboration and strengthen relationships with this team-building idea.
To kickstart the team-building journey, engage in a series of icebreaker activities carefully curated to foster communication, break down barriers, and establish a positive group dynamic. These activities will lay the foundation for an open and collaborative environment throughout the itinerary.
First, scatter everybody around the Lost World Of Tambun. Each person will be assigned a place to be at, like the Petting Zoo, Tin Valley, etc. Then, several selected people will be the team leader for their respective teams, and they’ll have to find their team members. The team that has formed a team with the required number of people can start the game immediately.
There are a total of 6 attractions on Lost World Of Tambun’s day attractions. A game master will be assigned to each of the 6 attractions to hand out missions that participants will have to complete at the attraction itself. Here are some of the ideas on what kind of team-building activities can be carried out at each of the 6 attractions in Lost World Of Tambun.
This is one of the most challenging attractions in the Lost World Of Tambun. You can start by playing a team-building game at the Stormrider. One person will sit on one end of the ship, and the rest of the team members on the other end. After the ship moves to a certain speed, the game master will blow a whistle, and the person who is holding a huge card with some text written on it will have to raise it up. Then other team members will have to memorize the text while the Stormrider swings 180°.
After that, on a 2nd whistle blow, the person holding the card will have to put it down, and other participants are not allowed to see the texts anymore. After coming down from the thrilling ride, the members will have to recite what they saw on the card to the game master. Upon completing the challenge successfully, the team can move on to the next station. If they fail to complete the challenge, they will have to receive punishment which will delay their journey to the next challenge.
The only attraction at the Lost World Tiger Valley is the 🐯tigers. A challenge that you and your teammates can do is a 🤳selfie challenge. Take a selfie with one of the tigers (separated by a fence, of course, please don’t jump in) as a group. The game master will then decide whether the challenge is completed successfully or not, before allowing your team to move to the next challenge. Through this interactive experience, your team will develop a deeper understanding of teamwork and the significance of protecting our natural environment.
Ipoh was a town built around the tin mining industry. To pay homage to Ipoh’s tin rush, Sunway added the Lost World Tin Valley to their Lost World Of Tambun theme park. A game that you can play with your teammates would be finding tins at the Dulang Washing. It is a traditional way of mining tin that was actually used in Malaya (today Malaysia-lah) more than 200 years ago.
After completing the challenge, it’s lunchtime at Dulang Tea House! This can also be turned into an interesting challenge where team members order food and drinks without exceeding the given budget. But here’s the catch, the prices on the menu will be covered! If the meal exceeds the budget, team members will have to pay for the meal and receive a punishment.
Lost World Of Tambun has a lot of animals. Game organizers can set up a treasure hunt game at the petting zoo. Give the participants pictures of a few objects and animals that can be found in the Lost World Petting Zoo and have them take photos of the objects and animals found based on the pictures given.
Another game that you can play is 🥕🐰feeding the animals. Visitors are allowed to feed and touch some of the animals here, like the rabbits, birds and raccoons. Once your team has all the food on hand wiped out by the animals, you can move on to the next challenge. This hands-on experience fosters empathy, compassion, and communication skills, as team members learn to care for and respect the needs of other living creatures.
Gear up for an exhilarating adventure challenge designed to test your team's problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, and teamwork. At Lost World Adventure Park, you’ll have to navigate through thrilling obstacles and overcome physical and mental challenges as you work together towards a common goal. This activity will encourage collaboration, build trust, and bring out the best in each team member.
Some team-building activities available here include the Triple X Challenge, Super Adventure Race and Battle of Boga 7. Besides these games, there are also other non-team building activities which you can play by incorporating team-building elements in them such as Kayak, Wild Woosey, 13 High Ropes Course and many more.
After a whole day of activities, we’re pretty sure everyone would be tired. It is time for free and easy. You guys can head to the Lost World Water Park grab a float and enjoy a carefree drift around the Adventure River.
If you still have some energy left in you, you can enjoy the slides and other fun attractions at Lost World Water Park. From the exciting Cliff Racer to the fun Jungle Wave Bay, this water park provides an opportunity for your team to unwind, have fun, and strengthen relationships in a more relaxed setting.

Only Lost World Ipoh Street opens until 10pm. This is where you get to taste Ipoh's famous delicacies and snacks. It's a great opportunity for your team to savour authentic Malaysian flavours and bond over shared meals.

Enjoy a yummy local breakfast at Restaurant Habib. There are many different types of roti canai to choose from. Don’t like roti? No problem, they also have mee goreng, nasi goreng and nasi lemak in the morning. Their roti canai is a must-try, and they are served with 😋thick dhal curry. The price here is also affordable, but we have to warn you, it can get crowded on weekends.
Ipoh is famous for its caves. One of the caves is a lesser-known but significantly important cave with high historical value, the Tambun Cave. The cave is adorned with ancient rock paintings that provide a glimpse into the artistic expressions of the past. These paintings are believed to be between 2,000 and 12,000 years old. They are also the largest display of Neolithic paintings in Asia. The rock arts are important archaeological relics that contribute to our understanding of the region's past.
The stairs are a bit steep to hike but not too difficult to conquer. It poses no problem even for kids. The historical paintings can be easily missed, so pay attention to the upper walls of the cave. They might be a bit difficult to decipher, but once you take a closer look and take a bit of time to ponder, you’ll be able to figure out what they are. The paintings are pretty direct, not too abstract. They are mainly about the artists’ daily life activities and animals.
Believe it or not, there is a Harry Potter-themed cafe in Ipoh! From the outside, it looks like an ordinary colonial-style building with a black plaque with golden Chinese characters on it. You might be as 🤔sceptical as Harry when he was first told to run into the wall at Platform 9 3⁄4, but you have to trust us, just enter. What’s waiting for you inside is the Leaky Cauldron (well, not the actual one but similar) from the world of Harry Potter.
It is a very instagrammable cafe with lots of Harry Potter-themed backdrops for you to take pictures and make some Tik Tok videos. To enrich your experience further, you can rent the Harry Potter costumes for just RM10 and pose at the “shop front” made to look like a shop in Diagon Alley. This cafe only has 🍰cakes, 🥐pastries and 🍹drinks, so it’s a perfect stop for a short break.
Concubine Lane is a historic and vibrant street that has become a popular tourist attraction. The lane derived its name from the practice of Chinese tin mining community members keeping their mistresses in the area during the early 1900s.
Today, Concubine Lane has transformed into a bustling street filled with a mix of heritage buildings, boutique shops, cafes, and street vendors. It has retained much of its old-world charm and architectural character, attracting locals and tourists alike. Take some memorable photos with your teammates to commemorate the eventful team-building trip!
Head to Durbar at FMS for a hearty lunch. It is the oldest bar in Malaysia that serves a variety of English cuisines with a colonial-era vibe during the tin mining rush. The vintage interior decor and furniture will remind you of dine like a 🧐gentleman and 💅proper lady.
Fish and Chip what? That’s too basic. You should try some more advanced English cuisine like seafood cocktails, chateaubriand, and crepe suzette. On the other hand, if you feel like eating something Asian, no problem at all. They also have food like Thai Fried Rice and Hainanese Chicken Chop, which is a must-order! However, we have to warn you that the food portion here is huge!
The Lost World of Tambun and its surrounding areas offer an all-encompassing team-building experience that combines adventure, education, and fun. By immersing your team in various activities and interactions, you'll create lasting memories and develop essential skills such as communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and resilience.
