Team building activities are a great way to strengthen the bond between colleagues, improve communication, and foster a sense of teamwork. Traworld has a team-building experience that combines the best of the city and nature in Klang Valley. This 3-day and 2-night itinerary includes activities that cater to all kinds of interests, from 🛶kayaking to sightseeing and exploring a traditional 🎣fishing village with floating houses.
As the first day of the team-building experience kicks off, we'll start by picking up you guys at a designated pick-up point in KL (That's how Malaysians call Kuala Lumpur). Our team will greet you with a warm smile and ensure you're comfortable before we begin the journey to Kelab Tasik Putrajaya. The transfer to Kelab Tasik Putrajaya is just the start of the journey, and the city views will make the ride enjoyable. This road trip will take around 40 minutes, giving you enough time to sit back and relax while taking in the scenery from KL to Putrajaya.
Upon arriving at Kelab Tasik Putrajaya, you guys can change your attire and get ready for the kayaking. Our team will provide all the necessary equipment to ensure you're comfortable and safe throughout the activity. Once you're ready, it's time to start 🛶kayaking and explore the scenic beauty of Kelab Tasik Putrajaya.
The activity starts at 9:30am and will last for an hour and 15 minutes. You’ll have plenty of time to enjoy the serene surroundings and bond with your teammates. Our trained instructors will be with you all the time to ensure you're on the right track.
After the kayaking activity, it's time to refuel and recharge for the next adventure. We’ll take you guys on a 15-minute journey to Marina Putrajaya for an early lunch or brunch. Lunch is not included in our team-building package because we want you to have the freedom to choose what to eat after a tiring morning of pedalling the kayak. Enjoy a 😋sumptuous meal while admiring the stunning view of Putrajaya for an hour and 45 minutes.
After lunch, you guys will be transferred to Cruise Tasik Putrajaya, which will take around 15 minutes. Once you arrive, you can get ready to board the cruise. It’ll take a few minutes to get ready and board the cruise. The cruise tour starts at 1:15pm.
As the 45 minutes cruise takes you around iconic Putrajaya Lake, you'll have the opportunity to admire the stunning landmarks, beautiful architecture, and the scenic beauty surrounding it.
After the Cruise Tasik Putrajaya tour, our team will pick you up to transfer you to your hotel. The transfer will take approximately 40 minutes. Once we arrive at the hotel, you'll register with the hotel concierge. We'll also ensure that everything is in order and that you're comfortable. Then, you’ll have some time to freshen up and explore the hotel on your own. This is also a great time to ⚡recharge your 📱🔋phone batteries after your travels and get to know your colleagues better. You can even take a nap if you want!
In the evening, we'll transfer you to a nearby restaurant for a delicious dinner. You can choose what you want to eat, and we’ll take you there. But please keep it within Klang Valley and hopefully within where the traffic permits because Klang Valley is well known for 😖traffic jams! Please don’t anyhow request something unrealistic like Malacca or Penang, we'll 😭cry.
After dinner, we'll transfer you back to the hotel. You can talk about your day with your team members and share your takeaway from the activities that you did. Then, you can rest and prepare for the next day!
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel. Trust me, you are going to need all the food offered and convert them into energy for the activities later. After breakfast, you will have some free time to relax and explore the hotel on your own before preparing for checkout.
We'll transfer you to the Port Klang Jetty (South Port Passenger Terminal),, which will take approximately 45 minutes. It might be a bit boring, so prepare an episode on a series from Netflix or tea (gossip) to spill.
Once you arrive at Port Klang Jetty (South Port Passenger Terminal), you'll have some time to collect your ferry ticket and get ready to board the ferry to Pulau Ketam. If you are a bit hungry and there is some time, you can explore around and grab some snacks from stalls at the jetty.
Don’t forget to take a picture with the giant golden crab to prove that you've visited Pulau Ketam.
The ferry shall arrive at around 12:30pm. You can then hop on a 35-minute ferry journey to Pulau Ketam (literally translates to crab island)! It is a small fishing village island located off the coast of Port Klang in Selangor, Malaysia. Along the way, you’ll come across wooden houses built on stilts. You might be surprised to find out that almost the entire island consists of wooden houses on stilts!
Upon arrival, you will be greeted(not literally) by the island's vibrant community of fishermen, who have been making their living from the bountiful sea for generations. We’ll then take you to lunch at one of the many seafood restaurants at Pulau Ketam. This mangrove island is well-known for its fresh and delicious seafood. Some of the must-try dishes include the famous sweet and sour crab, butter prawns, and chilli crab. The seafood is typically cooked with a blend of local spices and served in a traditional Chinese style.
It's a free & easy time! Rent a 🚴♀️bicycle or an e-bike and explore the rustic wooden houses built on stilts, connected by narrow walkways that wind through the mangroves, and take in the island's tranquil atmosphere. If you can’t ride a bike, you can always explore the island by 🚶♂️walking.
Despite being a small island, Pulau Ketam is quite an interesting place to explore. Immerse in the local Chinese culture by visiting the Chinese temples and markets. There, you’ll find fresh and quality local sea products such as dried shrimp, salted fish, scallops, fresh prawns and many more.
In fact, you can find out how dried shrimp and salted fish are made by going around the village! You’ll stumble across fishes being sun-dried on a net and shrimps scattered on a wooden board left out to be dehydrated dried. Then, there are also fishing boats being made in the village itself! This is a haven for professional and amateur 📸photographers. Then, if you are an extrovert, you can get friendly and chat with the villagers. They are used to receiving tourists and visitors that a stranger like you, is no stranger to them.
Gather at the Jetty Pulau Ketam and get ready for your boat tour. Embark on a refreshing boat ride as it takes you through mangrove forests, fish farms, and a nearby floating village called Sungai Lima. You get to see how the fishermen tend to their 🐟fish at the fish farms.
Enjoy the 🦅eagle feeding session and the beautiful 🌅sunset view at the fishing village on the boat. Then, if you’re lucky, you might be able to spot a wild dolphin or two.
After the boat tour, enjoy a delicious seafood steamboat dinner. The meal comes in a large pot filled with a flavourful soup base, and a variety of seafood, such as 🦐prawns, 🐟fish, 🦑squid, and clams. The seafood is cooked in the pot and served piping hot, making for a delicious and satisfying meal. You can also add your favourite vegetables and noodles to the steamboat to make it even more filling. It's a great way to indulge in the local seafood and experience the island's culture.
After dinner, we'll transfer you back to your homestay. You can talk about your experience on this fishing village island with your roommates or share photographs and videos taken throughout the day.
Wake up to enjoy a nice breakfast. This is a great opportunity to fuel up for the day ahead.
You’ll then have some free time to explore Pulau Ketam and return the rented bicycles or e-bikes. This is your last chance to take a stroll and appreciate the scenery or take some final photos of the island.
We promise you that the morning view with the lively market and boats on this sea is an experience and sight to behold. It is also the time for you to do one last round of souvenir shopping for your family and friends.
This is the time to ensure all personal belongings are packed and ready to go. Then, get ready to check out of the homestay and walk to the jetty to wait for the ferry to arrive. At 11:30PM, the ferry will arrive, and you can board the ferry back to the Port Klang jetty. The ferry ride will offer some last views of Pulau Ketam's unique charm and a chance to reflect on the trip.
The ferry ride to Port Klang jetty will take approximately 35 minutes to 50 minutes, depending on the tide. Low tide can affect the schedule.
Once you’ve arrived at Port Klang Jetty , you’ll be transferred back to KL which will take approximately 1 hour. This will mark the end of the Klang Valley team-building experience, leaving you guys with many wonderful memories to take home.
