Overview

Dress like how the Baba & Nyonya would dress back in the golden era of the Peranakan, also known as the King's Chinese. For those who don't know, the Baba & Nyonya are the descendants of mixed marriages between the local Malays and the early Chinese settlers back in the Malacca sultanate era. The result of these matrimonies produced a unique culture and arts that is a mix of both Chinese & Malay. Pick up a Peranakan costume that is hand-sewn with sequins & beads and stroll along the historical part of Malacca. Don't forget to take some photos in front of the pre-world war eclectic style houses that used to be the home of Baba & Nyonya.
