Here is another port for soufflé pancakes. It is your neighbourhood coffee bar called Neighbour’s Coffee Bar that serves some of the yummiest soufflé pancakes ever! This coffee bar adopts a minimalist interior design with a neutral coloured scheme. The white-washed wall, wood textured furniture and small plant decorations, coupled with a generous amount of ?sunlight penetrating through the tall window panes, make it a perfect Instagram- worthy spot!
They serve mainly 5 types of soufflé pancakes named Fuwa Fuwa Pancakes. “Fuwa Fuwa” in Japanese simply means “fluffy fluffy”! Indeed every time you eat their pancake it feels like a mouthful of fluff. Their soufflé pancakes taste so good that you can even eat them on their own. You may not know this but Hoshino Coffee is a household name in Japan. It is famed for its ☕hand-dripped coffee made of Arabica coffee beans and of course, its soufflé and soufflé pancakes! They have branches all over Japan and the world including Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia. A step into Hoshino Coffee brings you back to a cafe in the 1920s with waiters in white shirts and black vests. Everything in the vintage interior, from the dim lights, chandeliers, booths, etc is in neat western design. This is probably to pay homage to Yashoku, Japanese dishes with a western influence which originated during the Meiji Restoration.
Everything on Hoshino Coffee’s menu, from the paella to the Omurice to the french toast, deserves more than a ??thumbs up, but today we’re going to talk about their soufflé. Their Pot-Baked Souffles come in just 3 variations, Vanilla Soufflé with Custard Sauce, Vanilla Soufflé with Chocolate Sauce and Matcha Soufflé. Their soufflés are baked fresh, and you’ll have to wait about ⏰20 mins for them to be ready. So it is best to order it earlier, but not too early because your soufflé will deflate while waiting for you to devour it.

Here is something that every soy lover won’t be able to resist, soufflé pancakes made with soy milk! Even the whipped cream served with the soufflé pancakes is soy milk based! Their pancakes have a strong eggy smell which proves how generous they are with their eggs, and together with the soy milk used, it gives an extra boost of flavour! If you are looking for a soufflé pancake douched in bobas, then this is the right place to go. Although they call it the soufflé, but based on how it’s served, it seems to match a soufflé pancake more as soufflés are usually baked and served in a ramekin. Each serving of souffle pancake comes with a generous (like really generous, as generous as Florence Nightingale) amount of toppings which helps to balance the salty taste of the pancakes. My money don't jiggle jiggle, it folds~ Welp your money don’t but Coffee Stain’s soufflé pancakes do! They have up to 6 variations of soufflé pancakes, all waiting to jiggle their way into your stomach. The topping flavours include french earl grey, mixed berries, tiramisu, Lotus Biscoff and matcha. Hailing from Taiwan, Prince Valley is another go-to place for soufflé pancakes. Each serving of the airy and fluffy souffle pancake comes drizzled in a huge load of sauce. So much so that if there is a Malay name for it, it will be called “souffle pancake banjir”. Some of the flavours available here include ?mango, creme brulee (which is their signature), ?boba, ?matcha, ?french lemon and ?earl grey. Their soufflé pancakes are not too sweet and definitely hit right on the spot.
There is an open kitchen where you can watch soufflé pancakes being made. Their jiggly puff soufflé pancakes are some of the best that you can find in the PJ and KL area. Some of the flavours offered here at Slow Coffee include nutty chocolate, Pu-erh and vanilla (their bestseller). The soufflé pancake here is palatable to many people as it doesn’t have an eggy taste. For those who don’t know, Slow Coffee is actually a sister cafe of Neighbour’s Coffee Bar. Slow Coffee also adopted a minimalist interior design. It has both interior and exterior seatings. The exterior seating faces the greenery, making it enjoyable to have your dessert with a cup of ☕coffee while enjoying the view. The interior has a little bit of an industrial theme going on, with mostly muted and neutral colours filling in the space.
